"Rapid
climate change is telling us all very clearly that the planet has had

Climate change and the resulting weather patterns of droughts, water shortages, or devastating floods seem inevitable globally, yet they don’t have to be. Each of us can make a difference. It’s so simple. An Educating for Sustainability consultant, Barbara is best known for her book Creating a culture with a reverence for water and fascinating talks. While researching and writing a screenplay she experienced indigenous rainmaking in drought stricken Australia and this inspired her to pursue a broader knowledge and wisdom relating to water. After researching rainmaking both scientifically and through indigenous cultures, Barbara has discovered that she now has a track record of successful rainmaking for her veggie patch 44 out of 46 times over the past eighteen months. She messed up number 3 and 4 and learnt from that. Teaching what you have learnt is the indigenous way, keeping the circle of life intact. Though the topic is serious, her approach is lighthearted and so simple. Barbara will teach rainmaking at an exclusive event ‘They Call Me The Rainmaker’ at the Bardon Centre, Brisbane, on Saturday 4th August 2007. In Creating a culture with a reverence for water Barbara weaves themes around water, enticing us through a made easy and fun. A keynote speaker, Barbara teaches and mentors rainmaking and consults on:
Coming soon – regular articles on all matters relating to water and climate change. “Native American wisdom decrees that the right to water carries with it the responsibility of that right and respect for every living thing. As well as keeping the circle of life intact, they know that by taking responsibility all their needs are met - as if by magic.” Barbara Carseldine - 19th July 2007
